SS 201 Pipes fall under UNS S20100 and Werkstoff No. 1.4372. SS 202 Pipes are listed as UNS S20200 and Werkstoff No. 1.4373. SS 201 contains 16–18% chromium and 5.5–7.5% manganese, with low carbon. Grade 202 has 17–19% chromium and 7.5–10% manganese with added nitrogen. Stainless Steel 202 Pipes & Tubes have a density of 7.86 g/cm³, equal to 0.284 lb/in³, which supports good strength-to-weight balance.
These pipes and tubes are supplied in Seamless, ERW, EFW, Welded, Fabricated and LSAW forms to suit various pressure and load requirements. Seamless pipes are used for high-pressure service, while ERW and EFW pipes work well in general process lines. Fabricated and LSAW pipes support large diameter systems.
